Problem

In a moment when the airline industry hasn’t yet fully digested any of the two consecutive disruption waves of low-cost new entrants and digital transformation, and against a medium-term backdrop of increasing pressure from regulators as well as users to curb its above-budget growth in CO2 emissions, the COVID-19 crisis has struck the industry with an unprecedented blow.

Of course, recovery is expected, but, will demand rise back to pre-COVID levels? How much will recovery take? And once the health crisis is over, what is to be expected about the travelers’ needs, expectations, habits, and fears?

Challenge

How might we transform the established perception of buying, owning and using a flight ticket? How might we make extreme flexibility affordable and profitable?

Solution

t:revel is a Spin-Off of Iberia enabling the easiest and most open ticket in the market, and a second-hand marketplace for  flight tickets, where earn money back or even make profit.

The market gives the possibility to earn money back or make profit from sales, this is helping to mitigate empty seats by creating a new revenue stream from comissions for Iberia, and enabling a new traget group: the savvy traders.
